Requirements for Saratoga CRM version 7.0

Information

Release 7.0.0 has the following requirements:

  • Microsoft updates must be current on the machine. 

  • You can upgrade to Saratoga CRM 7.0.0 from Saratoga CRM 6.8.1 and above. You will need to uninstall products and integration components prior to Saratoga CRM 6.8.1 before installing Saratoga CRM 7.0.0. For more detail,  please read the attachment 7.0 Installation Considerations.

  • Saratoga Prerequisites.exe and Saratoga Thin Client Prerequisites.exe were introduced with 6.8.0.  If the Prerequisites software was installed on a server or workstation using 6.8.0, you do not need to install it again with 7.0.0  But if the Prerequisites have not yet been installed on a user or server machine, this should be the first software installed for version 7.0.0 Thin Client users only need to install prerequisite software if they use integration components. Check the attachment Saratoga Prerequisites.

  • Saratoga CRM 7.0 Rich, Thin and Mobile Clients, and utilities can use a Schema.dbd or screen DVF file created or updated with an earlier version of Schema or Screen Wizards. However, any screen opened and saved with 7.0 Screen Wizard can only be utilized by clients also running version 7.0.
